hey guys,
just got my 6625WD, and I really like it. But I have a Question about temperatures (right now you all most think oh no not again).
When I boot my temp for gpu is about 40 degrees celcius, and 30 for the cpu. but after a while doing idle it rises to 58-66. when I stress it (3D mark 06) the gpu reaches 85+ Degrees and the CPU reaches that temperatures alwell. I've seen those temparatures for the 6224WD, but for the 6625WD I've seen lower values. or am I mistaken?
Does anyone also know how to enable sound on a headset only? because at the moment when I plug a headset in it still uses the speakers instead of the headset.
specs:
-T7500, 2.2Ghz
-100GB 7200rpm
-2GB 800mhz
Thanks for your time,

How hot does it actually feel? Keyboard, palmrest, underside and the air coming out of the fan.
You can probably get the maximum CPU temperature down by around 10C by undervolting the CPU. I use RMclock. A new release is imminent but at the moment use 2.30 RC4. It's a fairly safe bet that your CPU will run at full speed at below 1.10V. I've got my T7300 set to 1.05V max.
Shout if you need help in setting it up.

the palmrest and keyboard are not really hot or warm, but the air that is blowing out of the fan is more hot then warm. and the only moment it is blowing cool air out is when it's just booted. It also seems that the fan isn't running max until the gpu tops about 84 degrees. The cpu isn't much of a problem I gues because there was only a fraction of a second when it top 80 degrees, after that it cooled down to 60 (still under load).

Where do you get the numbers from? Is there some temperature-recorders in the laptop or what? :O
At least mine doesnt feel hot at all after running 3dmark06 or playing battlefield 1-2h. But the air coming out is so hot u wouldnt want to put your hand for any longer times in the airstream -
I use Ntune and notebook hardware control to check the temparatures
-
But i just came up with a good use for the hot air:
You have fallen into the deep world of gaming, and you are supposed to work. You have a cup of coffee with you, wich was supposed to drink warm, not cold. So you have a problem.
Solution: Put the cup into the airstream. 2-in-1. Hot coffee and you get to game with a good excuse -
hahaha, after a while gaming the air blowing out is certain hot enough
.
Could you do me a favor and check with nvidia Ntune what your gpu temparature is after a while gaming?
Thanks, -
Hey, my 6625 temps are the same so I'm guessing its normal
-
really thanks
, does anyone know how to use an headset only when you plug it in? because when I plug one in now it still uses the speakers and not the headset.
-
start->control panel->sound->set headphones as default
When u unplug it will use speakers. I had the same problem but its easy to fix -
I managed to get a top of 90 degrees C for my t7100 1.8GHz when doing maxload test with a sofware called Intel Thermal Analysis Tool as NTune doesnt work cos i have Intel chipset
. But I think im gonna do some big test for a review im gonna send to notebookreview.com

Thanks you guys
, strange because Ntune does work for me, but only for the graphics card
