The danish Zepto site had now introduced the new 6625WD model (with 8600go) starting on 7.554 (excl. VAT) Danish crowns

It looks like it only comes with A/B/G wireless support, not the Santa Rosa Draft-N wireless support - that's disappointing. I know you can get the proprietary Zepto wireless N standard, but is that compatible with the Intel Draft-N standard?

I think that it comes with N support... and look at the score in the 3DMark06... nice 4100 points...

The N support I think is through the Zepto wireless card - I don't think (but I'd love to be corrected) that it's using an Intel Draft-N wireless solution.

Edit: i see it has both the A/B/G intel option and the A/B/G/N option - much better. i didn't see this no the website options, but maybe its because I can't read, write or speak Danish! Hope this is the case.

Brilliant. I read on another forum that the one of the 6224 or 6625 had a 8600GT while the other has an 8600GS.

Is this true, and if it is, what is the difference between the GT and the GS version of the 8600?

Both the znote 6224 and the znote 6625 have the exact same 8600 nb8f-GS card and not a GT version.

Can't wait to get my hands on the 6624. :p

But, first generation laptops are prone to problems, at the moment too many inconsistences, for instance not clear if the 6625 will have the Inter Draft-N or the A/B/G wireless, or if the graphics card is the GT or GS..., most importantly no word on the laptop heating performance as this is the one problem that has plagued the 6614 and the 6615. Is Zepto able to clarify if the heating issues have been addressed in the 6625?

Waiting for feedback from the first guinea pig. :D :D

Well... if you look at the data sheet for the two machines...

    6625WD: Geforce Go 8600 (NB8P-GS)
    6224W: NVIDIA®Geforce®8600M GT (NB8P-GS)

It's no wonder people are confused tbh
The datasheets are available on zepto.dk

so...could we get confirmation from someone at Zepto whether its the GT OR GS?, i've checked all the zepto sites that have the 6625wd (sweeden, denmak and global website) and they all say GeForce 8600 GT.

also those three websites..some parts have different options like the wireless or HDD for example.

Im in Australia, and would really like to buy one of these but the Australian Zepto website doesnt have it...is there going to be one available to me locally? or do i have to go through the global website..

    fanks.

DDDD The 6625WD should be on the Australian website in a couple of hours from now. The information I have read says the Geforce 8600 GS and that was on the specification sheet pdf. Check on the website when they are available and [email protected] any problems

TO put the GT/GS situation to rest, Our origional specification sheets said GS but we have been contacted by Nvidea to say that it IS a 8600 GT. This should be updatesd on all of our websites and different specification sheets that we have to avoid any further confusion, so sorry if I caused confusion. I certain got confused myself

It doesn't show up on the website (UK or Dk), so can you tell us how much there is?

I also heard Robson/Turbo Memory was incompatible with hybrid hard drives, as Vista could only support one flash cache device at once, but you offer a hybrid drive in the 6625WD, so is this not the case? If Vista does support using both at once, will there be much/any performance gain from the hybrid drive?

Why isn't there any option to choose " 250323 6 + 12 Cell battery" at the Danish website for 6624W and 6625WD?
On the UK website you can choose 6 + 12 cell battery, but not on the Danish website.

And as mentioned earlier, is the webcam on 6625WD 2.0 meagpixel or 1.3 megapixel? In the datasheet it says 2.0 megapixel at page 1 and then at page 2 in the same datasheet it says 1.3 megapixel:

Hello to everybody, I am also interested in the 6625WD. I think it will be a while until all the websites have the same corrected info. I would also like some clarification concerning the 2.0M camera (not that it is very essential), and also what is the deal with the DVB TV-tuner? Under specs it is listed as optional, but in the website there is no such option besides a DVB card. Hopefully the WLAN N-adapter will also be available in Germany as well...

PS: How big is the 12cell battery? There is a pic of a (rather big) battery sticking out of the notebook, I wondered if that's it...

EDIT: Just now I saw the pics of the batteries, apparently it is the 12cell...

ZUK said in the 6224 thread that they've yanked 6+12 Batt option due to supply issues. It's gone on the UK site as well now. Petrov was one lucky early bird to get it.

They'll put it back once the availability is sorted out.

The AC adapters on the notebooks are 50-60Hz and 110-240V, so they change according to the needed in the country you need. What you might need is another mains cable (from the wall to the AC adapter).

    Ok sounds good.

Now i picked the UK site ( http://uk.zepto.com/Shop/Default.aspx) and it seems to have a different amount for the 6625WD?

If 9,129 SEK ~ $1,316 then why does the same config in UK dollars cost $1,667.71 USD (via XE.com)?

And once i put it into the cart and check out it doesnt give me an option to ship it to the States, just UK & Ireland?

ZeptoUK: I take it you work at zepto? Do you mind giving me the information i would need to go about ordering it for the States?

    Thanks,
    David

In the UK we have pounds and not dollars, The UK website is for orders for Uk customers. Other enquiries will have to go to the Zepto global website. They can take your order. A customer has to buy the notebook from the country that they live in, if the country is not listed then the global website can handle that. I have other enquiries about this, people deciding which Zepto site they want to order from! It has to be their country or global website
