    Hey guys,

Does anyone still use MSN? More importantly does anyone use the video chat?

I'm having issues with the microphone. I'm using Vista Home Premium 32 bit version. Apparently, there is lots of feed back noise and the video is really slow. Do you think it is a Vista to XP issue (my parents are using XP), or do you think I need MSN Live? I really don't want to update. When I just do audio chat there is still some static, but its reasonable. Any help would be appreciated.

Just to double check one thing as well. The audio out is optical only correct?

I tend to use msn for chat only and I use skype for audio/video conversations. You really should update to windows live, it's exactly the same apart from some new icons and a slightly different interface.

The slow video is probably due to your internet connection or the internet connection of the person who you are having the convo with. As for the microphone static, are you using a built in microphone? As those tend to produce poor audio.
