    is my 8600M underclocked?

    GPU Clock: 475
    Memoery Clock: 400

I think I've seen those clocks higher on other 8600s, and I'm not talking about
    the GDDR3 versions.

Also, GPUZ shows Directx ver. as 9.0c :S ? I have Vista... I installed a game a few days ago and it said it needed to install 9.0c to run properly. Do you think that is the problem, and how can I get back to 10 ? DxDiag shows 10 btw :S

    I've got the same numbers,
but under the Nvidia Control Panel, Dx shows as 10.0.

You have to multiply the Memory Clock ;-)

Are you sure ? :) Cuz I dont want to burn the card. But I believe the clocks could be raised a little bit...

He doesnt mean you multiply the clock by a factor and raise it to the new value by overclocking lol...dont do that it will destroy your notebook.

what he means is that to get the clock numbers as reported by nvidia and all that you have to multiply the clock since its ddr2 or something im not sure though

this is what rivatuner says about mine

    : 399.600MHz (799.200MHz effective)

i think its the effective number is the one that nvidia quotes

If dxdiag shows dx 10 then you have dx 10, gpu-z is still buggy and in beta i think....doesnt even start on my notebook. if you want to make sure you got dx 10, just download dx 10 from Microsoft and launch the installer
