I have installed Windows XP onto my new 6224W and all of the drivers/apps from the Zepto disk that came with the notebook.

However, in Device Manager I still have two exclamation marks. Both are for "unknown devices" which are located on Intel(R) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815.

When I try and install drivers Windows reports that it can't find the drivers and I have no idea what I should be looking for since everything seems to be working fine and the Device Manager doesn't tell me what these device are. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also, is anyone else having problems with the built in microphone? Even with Microphone Boost turned on it is still far too quiet to be useful.

Apart from that - brilliant laptop!!!

I believe you've then installed Intel chipset drivers also?

A strange thing happened when i was installing XP on my Zepto. BEFORE i ran the chipset drivers, my 4 usb ports were working. After installing chipset drivers, they went black. Reboots didn't help, and i got an error in Device Manager. It was about USB 2.0 controller, if i recall correctly. Then i removed it's driver, and vĂ³ila, Windows suddenly found new drivers for it, and the ports started working again.

Interesting. How would I go about removing chipset drivers?

I don't know about removing the whole chipset drivers, i just removed the Usb 2.0 controllers driver, not the whole chipset driver. :)

You still didn't answer, i presume that i'm right when i say you have installed chipset drivers, right?

Sorry, yes I did install the Chipset driver - I pretty much installed everything on the driver CD.
