when in firefox and im scrolling the entire outer part of my screen forms a red box, for half a second, its a line that goes around the screen, also wheenver i press the F-keys or Fn + a F key, firefox opens up...and lastly, how do i get the temp down? on the gpu im getting around 60 Celcius when idle... but when on load it only goes up to 70 Celcius...It'd be wonderful to get down to about 40-50 celcius. I can't control fan speeds in Riva Tuner or nTune...so not sure what to do...

not sure on the firefox issue that sounds like software rather than hardware imo. you should be able to change what the fn- or + keys do. and as far as the gpu i would check the heatsink and the application of your thermal compound. did you install any other paste or just what came from the factory. there have been a few cases of the plastic film getting left on from the factory..

60°C when idle and 70° in 3D usage seems normal. Just check that powermizer is active in NVidia Control Panel.

I don't install the protector suite or the meeting app, etc. I don't see any flashing red borders when opening a browser window.

hey. the red flashing is the protector suite. kill the process psqltray.exe from the task manager. red flashing stops. woot! if you don't use the protector suite thing, i would not load it at boot (uncheck it in msconfig)...

You don't even need that program running at all; I disable it from booting through msconfig. I can still log in using the fingerprint reader at the login screen, though! :)

How come you get such a low GPU load temperatures? I'm getting from 80 till 90 depending on the game and room temperature. :/

I was talking about default clocks, but it really doesn't differ too much, maybe 3-4 degrees. The main temperature source is voltage, high clocks doesn’t really make a lot of heat.
I’ve just tested with 3DMark06 PS3.0 test1: Canyon Fight loop, after half of an hour it got stable at 81 degrees Celsius with default clocks:

By the way how hot does your CPU get while gaming? I get about 70 degrees.

P.S. Oh, now I see the possible cause, maybe I have higher 3D Vids, well that explains extremely good GPU OC capabilities and the same 60 degrees in idle. :) It can take up to 670/1470/519 ROP/Shader/Mem. And by the way, way we bought two same laptops with a friend and he has almost the same temps.
