    Hi mates I install windows vista home premium on my notebook EL 80
    i got rating 1 the lowest score
    i have Intel core duo 2.0
    ram 2 mega 667
    hard disk sata 120
    video n Vidia Geforce Go 256
    display resolution 1280x800
    i am frustrated with this result as i bought my notebook 3 months ago how to solve this problem?
    is COMPAL EL 80 not compatible with Vista ?
    I install Vista BIOS 116 and vista drivers from this sight

    Welcome to the forums, rahbat.

    I think having the 32-bit Core Duo may be lowering the Vista score a bit. Other than that, Vista compatibility is still being worked out--so if you give it some time I'm sure a bunch of the issues will be worked out.

    Despite the low score--how does Vista run on your HEL80?

    download new video drivers that will fix it

    I take it your scores improved then? Good news indeed.

    Judging by the screenshot you posted I would have guessed that a lack of DX10 may have caused Vista to score the GPU so low.

    It wouldn't be the lack of a DX 10 card... I've seen a lot of different dx 9 cards that did much better than that. It was definately his drivers, or lack of drivers, that produced that score.

    I bet I'd get a horrible score too then. I'm still running my stock drivers. But I doubt this system will ever see Vista.
