Yesterday, I put my computer in Hibernate-mode, at that moment, it was plugged in and fully charged (not overheated in any way).
I went off for a few minutes, and when I came back, the AC adapter was beeping, and none off the battery-indicator lights were burning. I couldnt even turn it on.
I tought, maybe if a left it a night, it would work fine. U removed the battery, plugged out the adapter and went to sleep.
Now i have tried turning it on, with and without the adapter plugged in, but nothing happens when I push the power button, and when I plug in the adapter, the beeping starts again (and the light flashes).
My girlfriends adapter happens to be one that fits my computer too, and when I insert that one, it also beeps -> does this mean my motherboard is fried?![]()

If it's a new incident, perhaps the adapter is faulty.I cannot think of anything else.

And does your adaptor work OK with the g/f's computer?
I've never had a beeping adaptor but I wonder whether it's a sign of overload on the adaptor. It's probably not the motherboard. There's a small power board next to the adaptor socket.
I don't think it will fix the problem, but you may be able to completely clear the CMOS if there's a coin cell in the memory compartment (as is the case on my 6024W). Remove / wait / replace this after removing the main battery.

Sent a mail to Zepto, too bad its sunday.. -
had that same problem on my 6625WD...got a Universal Adapter instead from Trust and it works like a charm. I will be sending back the adapter when i send back my laptop for repairs though cause i have a feeling it's a hardware issue from the adapter itself

Yes, but when you had the problem, did your laptop still work without the adapter? Mine does nothing...

This sounds really wierd, it is beeping not clicking?
-
Yep, its definitly beeping, and the light flashes at the same time.

I had the same problem (faint beeping) with my HP nc8430 AC adapter and the laptop doesn't start. Laptop is fine as it works with the battery. Replaced the AC adapter, now everything is fine. Your case is a bit complicated as the other adpter is also beeping.
