I'm a bit confused abouth the battery indicators on my 3270.
The manual states that when the battery light is green, the power is on and the battery is in use. Yet when I unplug the AC adapter, and the battery is indeed in use, the battery indicator goes off.
I was told by two Averatech Tech Reps that when the AC adapter is plugged in, you're not using the battery at all. Can someone kindly explain what, at least on the surface to me, seems like contridictory statements.
Thanks.

Here is how I see it on my 3250. The battery indicator light is merely to indicate whether the battery is being charged (blinking) or when it is fully charged (steady on). Other than that, I don't know if the battery is being used when the AC is applied.
I suppose you can always remove the battery and see if the system will boot up with the AC only. But that will not be a conclusive test.
BTW, did you actually get a manual with the system? I didn't with mine. -

Sorry, ... we have been on the road Monday and Tuesday, returning from Texas to Florida. Had to take a route about 80 miles longer than if we came back via I-10, and got back very late last night.
I'll take you up on the offer for the manual. It should be almost the same for my 3250. Email is ogheed [at] hotmail [dot] com. Convert that to its conventional form - it is written this way to avoid bots that search web sites for addresses. Thanks. -
With AC Adapter:
Solid light - When it needs no charge
Flashes - When it charges
Without AC Adapter:
Solid light - When it is on
Flashes - When it is in Standby
AC and battery power
