This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Finally some good AMD units are coming. It's about time they realized AMD doesn't mean second class.

    Price should be good and they have a great dead pixel policy. For $69 you are guaranteed no dead pixels, and only one, uncentered dead pixel is acceptable without this fee.

    The short version, for those who don't want to plow through the thread, is that the Clevo notebook upon which the (still theoretical) Eurocom Python D470 will be based should also be available through Hypersonic and Sager. It should be a truly outstanding laptop, if you like the 17" screen form-factor.

    I called Hypersonic, and they expect the info on the new AMD64 machine (the AX7) to be on their website in 3-4 weeks. It should start shipping 3-4 weeks after it's on the site.
