I'll briefly compare these two laptops for you:

    Lenovo Y510p SLI

    Pros:
The SLI makes gaming much more smoother (2 nvidia 750m graphics cards)
    Brighter Screen
Ultrabay (Swappable into an extra fan, GPU for SLI, or DVD/BluRay drive)

    Cons:
    Gets extremely hot extremely fast.
No nvidia optimus (Can't make use of integrated Intel graphics --- Lower battery life)
    Shorter battery life
    Consumes more power (170W adapter)
    Big adapter.

    Asus N550JV

    Pros:
    Longer Battery life
    Slimmer design
Better cooling set-up for a more comfortable gaming experience
    120W adapter
Can optionally come with a touchscreen.
Quad speaker system with external subwoofer

    Cons:
    No "Ultrabay"
Built in battery (remove the cover and some screws to replace the battery)
Much slower than the Y510p in terms of graphics performance (2x750m vs 1x750m)

So basically, go for the y510p if you're fine with hot temperatures or if you're gonna want to play your games at high or ultra.(e.g. Skyrim)

If you are fine with Medium settings for games(e.g. Skyrim) which isn't all too bad, go for the N550JV because it's more portable in a sense that it has more battery life and it is more convenient because it doesn't heat up as much as the Y510p.

Before, I too was stuck between these two laptops, but I realized that the added benefits of a longer battery life and a much better cooling system outweighed the benefit of an SLI setup with its drawbacks such as a shorter battery life, microstuttering on some games, and a higher system temperature.
