I want to hold out for 4870, but I doubt it will be out before at least February. Anybody got any more info on it?

I doubt that HD4870 will hit the market before christmas, since driver implementations are usually 3 month ahead of the real shipment, but i might be wrong

Do we know if the current OCZ will be able to be upgraded to the newer 4xxx series without a new motherboard or anything significant?

Well, MSI already has the 4850 in their GT725 book in Asia, but it has DDR2 memory instead of DDR3. I'm guessing DDR3 will reserved for the GT735.

The ATi Mobility Radeon 4850 and 4870's sound awesome so far, hopefully the price will be similar to that of the 3870's, then the gaming laptops' arena would be more balanced.

Yes, the GT735 has the 3850 and AMD Turion.

But according to MSI's site, the GT725 will have the 4850 and Centrino 2. Yes, its a lower numbered model but with the better specs.
