    Hello
I have sager 2090(which is compal fl90). I already baked my ge force 8600GT twice and I want to buy new video card. After reading I choose ATI HD3650 MXM II 256mb DDR3. My question is what vbios it must has. I saw at ebay video cards like this : New ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 MXM II 256MB DDR3 Graphics VGA video Card Acer | eBay
It is with Acer Vbios VG.86M06.002. Is it good for my laptop or it must has special vbios.
    Thank you in advance!

I would stay away from the DDR3 models if you can instead get a DDR2 version - see other threads.

DDR3 might work, if it does not, even a vBIOS update/change might not help.

Not all seem to be compatible, for whatever reasons ...

If you go for the 3650 DDR3, then good luck - there a re also enough cases were the DDR3 version worked right out of the box.

    Good luck

Thank you for reply. If you talking the problem with external display and no other problems that's ok with me because I don't use external display. About DDR2 version then I have the same question. This video card ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 MXM II VGA Card 512MB HD3650 | eBay is with acer bios again. Will it work or need special bios again?
    Thank you!

The DDR2 version you linked is good - should work right out of the box - but of course, there can always be problems, as that's the nature of fiddling with the internals of a laptop.

But going for the DDR2 version is for sure the safer way.

    Good luck

Some also had no signal on internal display, but had it on the external - there's no real reason to insist on the DDR3 - sure, it's faster than the DDR2, but each of them is ... 5 years old, so it's not that one is faster than the other, but one is less crappy then the other.

You won't have much fun with either of these two playing new games - both are happy doing 2D stuff, older games, and movies - and then it's better to use the one which causes less trouble.

    Good luck

Most probably yes, Acer BIOS should be okay, but no one can guarantee that the card YOU are getting will work - there's only one way to know for sure - buy & try.

    Good luck
