    STOP 0x0000009C (0x00000004, 0x8054DA70, 0xb2000000, 0x00070f0f)

I have received this BSOD error a few times recently. Among the most common causes of the "Machine Check Exception" error, the one that I think is most likely the culprit is poor temp control/overheating). A few times recently before this error started occurring, my PC would suddenly shut down completely, and felt really hot on the bottom. In addition, the Metal Prong of the AC Adapter (which is inserted into the PC Battery slot) would LITERALLY burn your finger off if you touched it.

2 strange things about when I get this error: #1, I only get the BSOD when I'm in Safe Mode with Networking. When running windows in normal mode, the screen goes into a completely black frozen state, and I can't do anything.

And now for the REALLY STRANGE thing: This was occurring every single time I would log in to Windows yesterday, within the first 5 minutes of being logged in. But today I discovered something: If I leave my built-in Wireless Networking Card off, and thus stay offline, the PC will stay on, and perform for a lengthy amount of time with no problems whatsoever. However, once I turn the wireless card on, and attempt to login to my personal WLAN, within 2 minutes I get the crash and Black Screen (or BSOD if I was in Safe Mode).

My thanks in Advance if any of you have any ideas or advice.

Attached below is a copy of my PC's HijackThis logfile. Not sure if it will help in this situation, but better to have too much info than not enough:

Have you searched Microsoft with the BSOD phrase? It might tell you a few things.

Have you verified the air path is clear and that the fan is running? And you are using the computer on a hard surface (and ideally elevating it slightly)?

It could very well be that your computer is almost, just barely keeping up with shedding excess heat and the extra power draw of the Wi-Fi is enough to put you over the edge, as opposed to the problem being casused by your wireless card.

When googling those error codes, there's a few page results which match the codes exactly, but all in a different language, and I can't translate them to english.

I should also mention, that I always use the PC on a flat, stable surface (desk or table). In addition, 2 weeks ago I purchased an external fan (called a notebook cooler) that you sit the laptop on and it blows air into the bottom vent of the laptop, keeping it cool.

ok... my apologies for not updating sooner.

the problem was, I had a short circuit in the Dc Power Jack, which has since completely blown the Jack.
