Yes, I feel stupid that don't seem to be capabale of actiating Vista without a problem. Today vista popped up a notification saying it was trying to activate (having been 3 days since I first logged on) then it said it was unable to activate and prompted me to type in a different product key. I looked at the error message and it said 'The activation server determined the specified product key is in use'. This was before I put anything in. So I looked at the product key on the bottom of my laptop and gave the key to windows, but it said it was in use and asked me for a different one again. So I'm stuck. Will I need to phone and talk to Microsoft, or Zepto?

Vista does have all sorts of activation problems. The correct key is the one on the bottom of your computer. It is damn difficult to read it correctly while trying it in! I photographed mine so I could have it on screen! It is also possible that one of the Vista code crackers has already used your key.

Phone Microsoft (they should be open most hours) and you should succeed in activation via an exchange of very long codes. I had to got through this after cloning my HDD. My Vista decided it was a new installation on a new computer and the key was already in use (by me). So I had to reactivate by phone.
