Hi! I've an Advent Roma and since a few days I can't hear sound anymore from videos & music on my laptop. I've checked the speaker, microphone and other settings and it all looks fine. Also did a restore but still the same.

However, when I started up my laptop this morning I heard the Windows tune and then a very loud, continuous beeping sound. It went away when I pulled my screen closer to the keyboard so I presume it is a hardware issue? Maybe connections that are not wired OK anymore inside the laptop?

Question is if I will be able to use external speakers if it's a hardware issue?

I have sound when using my headphones though :D)
