    This is in reference partly to the thread here:

    If I were to purchase the Samsung model WSXGA+ screen for the HEL80, would it just pop in (and toss the 1280x800 screen)? Do I need to buy a new inverter as well?

    Any advice on how to do it or know of a Compal manual that shows this (secret screws or latches on the lid)?

    Are you somewhat familiar with this sort of procedure though? You would be putting two LCDs at risk and they are rather pricey. I'd hate to see this blow up on you.
