I've been using a Medion Akoya EX laptop for about a month and a half now. So far, so good!
Widescreen desktop wallpapers for the resolution of this screen(1280x768) are still a little difficult to find on the internet, it seems. I've started a gallery of my own wallpapers sized for this notebook. Original macro and nature photography. It will continue to be updated. Here's the address:
    http://chrys.addr.com/photo/galleryscript/album01

I've also found a few other pages with workable wallpapers for this screen as well. They're bigger, some of them, but they size down well:
    http://www.freewebtown.com/jdbrookes/wallpapers.html
    http://www.aguntherphotography.com/wallpapers/widescreen_wallpapers3.htm
    http://www.champweb.net/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=61
    http://gallery.stonetable.org/1280x768

    Anyone have others?

Intestingly enough, I have the LS model, which is 1280x800 (slightly taller) and I have been building a large gallery on my computer for large format backgrounds. Remember that anything larger will work perfectly and better yet, you can open a larger image in your favorite image editor and crop it without losing detail...this lets you remove any junk on the picture that you don't want. My background changes every week or so and right now, I have a very refreshing lemon for my background--it is various things all the time.

Try interfacelift.com. They have great, highquality widescreen wallpapers in lost of different resolutions.
