Ok so I've been working on my Hel80 system and Ubuntu for a couple of days now... I just have a couple questions/problems I was wondering if anyone out there can tutor me with...

Before I messed with any of the keyboard settings, I was able to hit the volume up and down shortcuts on the notebook and a graphic would display on screen reactiing to my actions. This, however, did not adjust any volume settings, it just looked like it worked. So i went into keyboard shortcuts and manually editied the volume up/down actions by pressing the appropriate buttons. Now, nothing happens, not even the on screen graphic. Any ideas on how to fix this or at least restore the default keyboard shortcut buttons?

Also, is it possible to get the Fn actions working with their respective keyboard buttons?

This is one of those guesses, but maybe it was adjusting the volume... just the volume for the headphone jack or something, as opposed to the that of the speakers. I might remember ubuntu doing that to me when I had it on my HEL80.
