You might want to contact Donald at Powernotebooks. He would have a good idea of what's coming and when it will be released.

My guess would be that new models will be coming out around June/July to replace the HEL80/HGL30.

neosenate, chrisyano is correct. Nothing new on the high end from anybody really until the new Santa Rosa chipset comes out in June or July. (Intel says the processors will be available in May, but don't count on anything shipping by then)

These will have DX10 GPUs as well, right? Any other notable updates?

Don't know yet whether DX10 will be coming out at the same time Santa Rosa does...it may take a few months...we will just have to wait and see.

Donald and I have been trying to get information from the other on these new systems for a month or so now.. unfortunately neither of us honestly really know if things will ship when they should. Even if santa rosa comes out in time for DX10.. I'd imagine many new systems released through the summer will only have one or the other to keep the technology costs low while production and demand increase.

No, the go 7600 is a DX9 GPU. DX10 will only run on Centrino Pro, Vista, and most importantly--on a DX10 GPU. Mobile DX10 GPUs have yet to be released.

There are a lot of threads on the topic in both the Hardware and Gaming forums where you can quickly read up on the latest news on DX10.
