Hey all, I have a older Mitac 7321, which in the UK they call Arctek.
Finally getting old, think its just ****ping out sadly hardware wise.. however I know it didnt like alot of RAM either.. said it doesnt support 1 GB, but yet I did it just fine.
Issue I hated about this model is the Bios.. its locked into a user mode bios with no options other then LPT port, IR and COM port and boot up seq..
Was like no other options at all.. which was annoying if you like tweaking everything up right..
I think it was a pheniox bios.. I am not 100% off the top of my head tho.
But was wondering if anyone knew anything about user mode bios and how to get into the main part of them.. no one seems to know since its a certain way you have to access it, not just load into bios normally and so.
Just wondering if I can get a bios update that wasnt in the official mitac support site.. since that one I have, but as you know, things change. Alot of things are solved with Bios updates. Since right now.. all it likes to do is maybe boot, but once in XP or few mins into it, lockup and hang.. I did change RAM, reformatted etc.. so wasnt something simple.. Thus buying new laptop.. but still would be nice to see if this old one still has life and if there is a bios idea for it from someone who may know about this model.
Thanks.

Yea the link is to the bios I already have, which is a locked usermode bios without major 1 GB RAM update or so.. cant even change other settings sadly.
Anyone know about a Mitac 7321? Bios upgrade?
