    Hello,

Just did some upgrade to my little lappy. Added 1GB RAM so now it has 1280MB RAM and added new WD HDD 250 GB. Yes, it works. Haven't install the os yet, but I went to Averatec website. I thought that their support is as bad that it couldn't be worse. My mistake. There are no drivers for older notebooks, only for the newest. It sucks badly. They should visit lenovo support site and take their lesson.

Question to the forum users. Maybe somebody has a copy of those drivers, please publish them somewhere (maybe on the forum if there is such a possibility) or rapidshare or just please send me a PM. I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    steryd69

    Thanks for your effort.

I've already got all the drivers. Used Everest. Now I have a copy of them on External HDD, just in case.

With HDD for averatec there is no problem. I don't know how it works for 1050, but I think it's the same as for 1020. You have to remove the case. You have to buy 2,5 inch HDD ATA-100 !!! (not serial ata!!).Up to 250 GB. It works with no problem at all

Many older Averatec drivers are available through the Korean version of Trigem's site. Use the link in the upper right corner to select Korea. Yes, a lot of the site is in Korean, but there is enough English to navigate to the driver downloads. Do keep in mind that you may not find your exact model number, rather a close approximation. Model numbers vary a bit by the region in which they were sold, but the drivers are compatible.

It seems Everex has occasionally sold an exact twin to an Averatec model (for example Averatec 2300 series - Everex Stepnote ST5340T), but without a cross-reference, figuring this out can be quite difficult.
