    Averatec 2200 battery will not charge

    I am uncertain if this is a battery problem, or a laptop problem. I repaired the AC jack myself 6 months ago, and all has been well until now. The laptop still powers on from the battery, but now when I plug in the AC adapter, the battery light does not come on, and the battery does not charge.

    I have disassembled and assembled the laptop a few times, but the problem still persists. I used a multimeter to test the connections of my soldering job on the AC jack, and all seems to be well. Is there anything else I should check when the laptop is apart? Is this a laptop problem or possibly a battery problem? :confused:
