Hi, I've had some trouble, I recently installed Windows 7 to my Laptop. Took me 3 days to figure out how to fix it. I'm posting this because all the forums I read were closed about it with no answers to help.
Installed windows 7 but the nvidia video driver wasn't showing up in device manager. I tried updating the device that was listed under, but it never worked!
First I googled nVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 download. When it installed it was a mass storage device, not a display adapter (which is what I thought it was) After installing that, I right clicked and updated the Display driver (in device manager) that was showing. after the installation and restart poof it worked.
I'm not very good with laptops or computers but I've had a lot of trouble with mine and had to reinstall windows several times in the past 4 years and update the drivers each time. I always remember the pain of searching for a week on how to fix it but never remember my solution.
I hope this helps someone, or is at least still here if I need to search my troubles again Lol.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate on my Averatec 2370. Initially the CPU slowed to half speed but I'm not sure that was W7 related. Did the heatsink mod and Everex ROM R1.09 install shown in 2370 [Over]heating issue. Now it runs better than the XP MCE version. Many thanks to the authors of the fixes.
Note that a copper penny (1981 or earlier) sanded smooth on both sides is .04" thick, is just the right size for the heatsink mod. Arctic silver holds it in place. ( I used a newer penny sanded to the zinc and it works OK) -
I recently put win7 on my 2300 but there is a driver missing. It shows up under other devices...coprocessor. I've searched all over the place and I haven't been able to come up with a solution. Has anyone had this problem and did you get it resolved? Would appreciate any help.
