Hi, I know that the sound card Realtek AC'97, that is in the Averatec AV4155-EH1, it's only 2 channels. How do I go around and make it to output 4 channels? Any way I can replace the sound card? Or is there anything else that might do the trick? I don't wanna fork out $100 for that laptop soundblaster audigy pcmcia card either.

I wanna use my Logitech Z560 THX Certified 4.1 Speaker System, with the laptop, and I want full 4-ch out.
Here's a pic with the cables that I can connect from the Logitech control to the laptop:

As you can see I can only use the green jack to the green headphones input on the laptop, to get the 2 channels. How can I connect the other jack, so I get full 4 channels, like I used to when I had the desktop pc, with SB Live?

    Thanks!

u can buy a 1/8" headphone splitter at rat shack, plug it into ur headphone in and the speaker connections to that. U'll get output to all channels but it won't be 4 channel output (both read and front will play same thing) There isn't a way to get full 4 channel output with a 2 channel soundcard, which btw isn't upgradable. The external soundblaster is probally ur only choice if that is what u want.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
j/k now, but seriously, why every laptop has to have those crap soundcards? Is it that difficult for these companies to put a decent card in there?
Oh well... I think I'll just sell the speaker system, and get a receiver/sub/speakers, in this case.
    Thanks though.
