I have had my 4265 for a few months now and love it. I have been using the Cyberlink Power Producer to create slide shows of photos for work and it has worked wonderfully.

Just the other day after burning a dvd; I had selected to burn two copies. The first copy came out fine. When it asked for the second dvd and I put it in, I started experiencing the issue I have now.

It will stick on the "writing data..." process at a progress of 1% and nothing happens. There is no movement on the DVD drive. I have rebooted, created new files to burn, still with same result -- I am now unable to burn any DVDs. I have submitted this to Averatec but have not yet heard anything. Does anyone have any idea as to how to resolve this?

    Thanks!

Maybe try downloading a trial of nero from their site and try that. Maybe it is just a software issue.

Also, can you burn normal CD's?, if you can, then it must be a software problem.

I am able to burn cds -- no problem. -- I actually solved the problem -- the simplest thing, but still unexplainable. I had to change the burning speed from 4x to 2x and that did the trick. The weird thing is that it was working just fine with 4x before.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good program that I can use to put photos to music for dvd slideshows? I have been using the PowerProducer, but if there is something out there that is better, I am all ears.

    Thanks.
