Looks like its okay for gaming. I assume that it is ATI 64 MB.
zv5000z AMD 64 3000+ 1.8 Ghz 768 DDR SDRAM 15.4" WXGA (1280x800) 30 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive 64MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(TM) 4 440 Go

It has an excellent price point, but I would still lean towards the eMachines m6810 or m6811 for a more fulfilling gaming experience. Even thought the GPU is the same, with the same amount of VRAM, the eMachines systems come with Athlon 64 (3200+/3400+ respectively) CPUs, which will enhance the gaming performance substantially.

I have this notebook and it works pretty good. There are a couple of things with the specs you listed though, The 6130's have a P4 with HT, and the memory card reader is only a 3 in 1, i also believe that you can have up to 2 gigs of ram. I haven't played the newest games on it, but I have been playing a 3D first person shooter, which was made with java actually. The game is called "Chrome" (www.chromethegame.com) for those interested, and the laptop handles it quite well. The video card is 64 mb dedicated, so it won't hurt system ram at all. Only thing is with the P4 HT, the batt life is low, and if you want to play games for an extended time, you need to be plugged in.

for occasional gaming it should work fine

I play doom 3, grand theft auto (vice city) ut2004 wolfenstein ... all in 1280x800 resolution, except doom3, which is 800x600.
I guess it's a good card for gaming -
I own the 6130hs and it's pretty good for gaming but i'm not much of a gamer. The newest game that I own is Half Life 2 and it run's pretty smooth. But if you want a gaming notebook, get one with the amd 64 bit chip and the new x800 gpu from ATI, then it will rock.

The 6100 is all right for gaming, however the 4,200RPM hard drive really takes things down a notch.. games run fairly smooth, but once in a while you will get pauses and slow downs. If you are seriously considering this laptop for gaming use, I would recommend a hard drive upgrade.

I have the 6100 with the p4 3.0 g ht 60 g hdd ati 9600 64 graphics gard and a whole bunch of other stuff. I play bf1942 and it plays very good. I would recommed to anyone using this machine for gaming to get a sound card. creative labs makes external audigy 2 cards as well as cards that slide into your multi card slot. the audigy 2 card goes for around a hundred bucks but it helps performance dramatically since you dont have the issue of the onboard sound slowing your proccesor.. I actually got the exterm=nal sound card that was on step below the audigy 2 ( creative labs Sound blaster 24 bit live only 50 bucks) and it allowed me to bump up all the settings a little bit or some of the setting quite a bit.
Averatec 6100 for gaming? Check out specs!
