    Hello,

I just flashed the mobo from 1.00 to 1.09. Got the files from the Uniwill site. Now the video is partially scrambled in normal video mode for Windows. In vga mode and prior to Windows starting up the video is fine. I need the original bios, it is OEM version 1.00 (Uniwill only provides 1.03 to 1.09 on their site and I tried reverting back to 1.03 but no good). I also tried installing a fresh copy of Windows, but once I installed the VGA driver, the video screwed up. Does anybody know or have this original version. Uniwill tech support is no help

Sorry catdog. I can't provide this. I wish I could. It's pretty clear at this stage for Averatec and it's parent company, Trigem, that we as what are probably a rapidly dwindling few who still own these turkeys, if it's still working I wouldn't touch it. No software updates and especially no driver updates including BIOS. What you want to do as an owner is enjoy it while it lasts and figure strongly on what your replacement's going to be.

Wish I could be more help but I've already started watching for what I would consider as a replacement (top name brand only) for it when it does, and it will, die.

Sorry to be bearer of bad news but the avertec and unwill are not compatiable with each other. Then uniwill had a different video and more vram.

I normally to not respond to users who want files and have the email blocked or not complete.

Can you still boot off of a floppy drive? if not you may actually need the bios chip pre-loaded.

What is the BIOS file worth to you :D
