I have an Averatec 6130HS with the ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 64mb card. I am wondering If I would be able to upgrade this to 128mb or replace it with the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 128mb?
I would like to be able to play Half-Life 2 with 4x Anti-Aliasing with at least 40fps during really intense fighting scenes.

The graphics chip on the 6100 is soldered to the motherboard so its not upgradeable like some other companies that have an add on board that can be upgraded later it should become standard in hopefully another year or so

I dont think you can even upgrade the memory on the standard ATI cards for a desktop, much less a laptop. Bets you may be able todo is install a good tweakable driver (omegadrivers.net) to crank up the proc and mem speeds.

I have the 6100 with the ATI 9600 64 Dedicated. Question. Games are kinda hit and miss with this thing. I was wondering what kinda preformance others are getting with this model. Im getting subpar preformance... How did they tweak the Video Card? Over clock? What to? The only games I play really are, Nascar 2004, Battlefield Vietnam and COD. Any suggestions.

I've only updated the video drivers to the catalyst ...
