    Averatec 6200 wireless adaptor issues

    Hi i have a 6200 series laptop from averatec and now i am having a issue with the laptop i m not been able to access wireless network. it is not even showing the wireless adaptor under the device manager ?

    can someone please help me how to fix this issue ?

    If your notebook doesn't show the wireless adapter AT ALL in the network section of the Windows Device Manager, it means that electrically it is not installed in the system. As it is improbable that an internal card would pop lose from its connection, it means either it or the internal port through which it connects is dead.

    Frankly, unless you can get the repairs done under warranty, it is far cheaper to pick up and use an external USB wireless adapter.

    yeah i know that is what i was thinking to do since my laptop is around 2 yr old

    The Ralink wireless card is plenty on Ebay and under $20. You should try a new one as replace the card is very easy. You only need to remove 3 screws at CPU and fan cover at the bottom case, then you can access the wirless card socket and try a new one.
    Divice is not detected, so I believe your card went bad.
