This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Averatec 6240 VISTA ?

    I recently upgraded my 6240 to Vista (32 big). Am
    still having the well-known high fan noise levels, but
    overall have no problem with VISTA.

    But I AM wondering if anyone has a source for
    any driver upgrades that have been successful
    for others in such a system overhaul. The
    Averatec site seems deficient in this respect.
