I own an Averatec N1231 with a two cell battery. I am looking for an extended battery for this model. Does anyone know where I can purchase an extended battery? And, does the N1231 battery cross reference with the battery of another netbook manufacturer? Thanks.

I don't know why they don't advertise them on their web-site, but if you go to the Averatec USA web-site and e-mail tech support, they will sell you a 4-cell extended battery for $110.00 plus fedex shipping. Mine lasts about six hours, although I can't say for certain since I can't seem to drain it in one day of normal use!

As far as I know, the N1231 is indigenous to Averatec, so I don't think you're going to find an equivalent from someone else (I've tried). By the way, my battery for someone reason came without the rubber feet (since the larger battery protrudes, you'll need them), but I contacted tech support again and they're mailing them off to me as I write this.
