I own a 3225-HS and after hearing from people that it gets seriously hot, but what exactly is considered seriously hot?

Because mine is 34°c on average and 39°c on load, is that too hot or normal?

that may be a little hot considering that that is a mobile processor, i have stuck a digital thermometor under about where my processor is (P4 HT 3.0 GHZ in the 6130hs-20) and it reads about 35 degrees C and can easily go over 40.

yeah but you have to consider the 6130hs is not using a mobile processor it's a full blown desk top processor so 35-50 degrees C is a good temp.

The 3225-HS has the Pentium M processor right? If so, then that is too hot. Why don't you check out the Averatec forums at www.averatecforums.com. I think there's people complaining about the heat there also.

My point is that if a mobile processor is running as hot as a desktop processor, it is too hot.

But yeah, our laptops have pretty low temp considering the processor.

Edit: just looked up the specs for the 3225, and now seeing that it is an AMD mobile processor, it will prolly be a little warmer then a P-M since AMD is usually a little warmer then the intel processors.

True mobile processors are designed not to run as hot as desktop processors. I do know that AMD processors do run a little warmer than Intel processors.
