    I see that Bios v1.20 is now available from Compal. How do I go about updating my bios to the new version?

    I need to know how TO update the bios...I've looked on the dummy guide but it doesn't help because many of the links are dead. Is there a way to update the bios using a flash drive?

    okay, I've done everything in the instructions, and when I get to phlash16, it tells me it can't find the right files.
    So I rename the bios files to BIOS.rom and BIOS.wph, and now its telling me that it can't flash when HIMEM is present.

    I followed your instructions to flash my BIOS too zfactor but none of those commands worked for me. I had to edit one of the files to get the full sequence of what I needed to type in order to flash my BIOS.

    what notebook?? i have the jfl92? i assume its a different model...post the bios for me and ill tell you what to use i need to see the file

    yeah driver is 1.12 on intel for my notebook still lol even compal is up to 1.18
