I heard all laptops of this model got this, is this true?
Can you make a pic of your laptop screen?
btw I have a WXGA+ screen.

How is the screen when running OS.
-
Its a black screensaver. Ive u have a dark background it become grey at some spots.
-
This picture is useless unless there is another screen in the picture to compare it to. Judging by the noise, the ISO setting is very high, resulting in a sensor highly sensitive to light, so this may exaggerate the backlight bleeding a lot.
-
You might try turning the brightness down a couple of notches. This tends to help a little with my desktop LCD's light bleed problems (I'm running on an older LCD, though, with light bleeding off both sides).
-
The brightness is exaggerated. But it gives a good view.
Ill post a screen later of an lcd screen withouth leakage. -
This is my 3 year old external monitor, u can see some bleeding on all sides. But only when u watch carefully on a total black screen.

The first pic is exactly how my IFL90 looks. I thought there was excessive light bleeding as well so I sent it back to the retailer and they changed it for me, but the replacement was no different. I wouldn't be surprised if every screen for this model has the same issue.
-
It strange that Ive seen no1 complain about it, cause it looks terrible.
Ive sent it to the retailer aswell and he said that the rest is the same.
Is it the same for a WXGA screen? -
I agree that it's odd not to hear more complaints, in general i think the screen is good, but the light leekage is a problem I would have liked to have known about before I purchased one.
These are the threads that I created - some people say that their screens don't look like that but this is the second screen that I've had with this problem

I found that my screen was manufactured by these people http://www.cptt.com.tw/ and all their screens are this way. -

My screen is a hundred times better then yours, although mine is a wsxga+ screen.
-
It looks like its a crappy batch.
Ive send the retailer a mail, I wont accept such a screen. -
correct as for a replacement, otherwise return the notebook.
You always have warranty. -
I have a CMO1520 WSXGA+ Matte screen and it's absolutely brilliant. The colors are vibrant and there is minimal backlight bleeding; I've recently had to have the screen replaced due to some backlight issues (it was darker in some areas than others) and I got the same CMO 1520 model as my LCD. It does look a bit greasy, due to the matte filter, but that's fine.
Perhaps you could tell us what screen you have? You can go to System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Monitors -> Plug and Play Monitor and look for a model number. -
Ive sent the laptop a while ago to the retailer. The screen is prolly a Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT), as PBR got exactly the same probs.
Im trying to get a WSXGA+ BTO now. Will prolly get a mail tomorrow. -
Allright, I called them and he will change the order to:
15.4 inch widescreen TFT (16:10), WSXGA+ (1680x1050), non glare

Intel® 4965AG+N Wireless LAN 54-300Mb/s

Hope the screen will be good now.
Heard no1 complain about the WSXGA+ scherm.
