I was looking to buy a Laptop for work and personal use.

Zepto is new here in UK but after reading some reviews I decided to go with Zepto as it has some very nice offers.

-I ordered a Zepto Znote laptop back in August 2006 for around £1300.

-I recieved the laptop after a month.

After receiving the laptop I realised that it wasnt what I had orderd.

-I called Zepto and it was confirmed that it actually was not my laptop and that I had recieved someone elses order.

-I wait around 3 weeks to get the laptop I had, picked up and to be sent my own laptop.

-I recieved my laptop and I was delighted. After using the laptop for a few days I realised it had some hardware error from time to time.

-I called Zepto and I was told that someone will get back to me (But noone did)

-after using the laptop for a few weeks my latop started to crash and eventually the graphics card stoped working.

    -A faulty Geforce Go 7600/512MB

-I called Zepto and told them about the problem, I was told someone will get back to me, noone did.

-After constantly calling Zepto for 2-3 weeks, EVENTUALY it was picked up by a courier.

-I waited a week and heard nothing from Zepto.

-I called and was told that the graphics card is faulty and that they are looking this up.

-After constant calling for another 2 weeks I finally found out that it will be sent to Zepto DK for repairs.

-Now I have been waiting another week and yet have had not recieved anything on what will become of the laptop.

-I checked repair staus on Zepto UK website and the following messege has been up for more than a week - ***** Arrived at Zepto DK, awaits repair 15-11-2006

    - Since ordering the laptop I have only used it for no more than a couple of weeks, this whole process has been long and very tiring and I really needed the laptop for work and I still do.

+The Zepto staff are very very polite but their politness has not helped me get my laptop that I paid around £1300.

    - Ordering the laptop has not been useful as I hardly used it, its value is decresing and I have not benefited and now i feel that it has been a waste of money.

    - I wonder what will become of the laptop or my money.

    - I am now thinking that I actually tell Zepto to either Replace the laptop, since its taking forever to be fixed OR they refund my money.

    What can I do now?
please share your thoughts on this.

There is not so much you can do.
You maybe have to be patient for a longer time.
Or you can try to contact theire boss.

O yes and I forgot to mention, I paid £50 for a tv card (I never found a TV card with my laptop) I phone zepto (same ol they call me back - nothing) - After calling them constantly they went through it and apparntly it does have tv card (so I was told by Zepto UK), BUT I could not detect it at all. So at the end of the day this wasnt resolved.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences. I would agree with famous grouse about contacting the above zepto representatives by pm or email.

Think your self lucky. I had to pay £60 to ship mine back (along with never getting a tracking RMA from nusystems). Then it took over a month to fix after they replaced the whole chassis, and now the slot in dvd doesn't work.

    Have a read of this,

Business Advice Leaflets - Civil law - Services

    With Reasonable Care and Skill

This means that work must be carried out properly and to a satisfactory standard. For example, if you fit windows they should not start leaking because you have fitted them incorrectly.

    Within a Reasonsonable Time

This means that the work must not take an excessive amount of time. A TV shouldn't take three months to repair, for example. If you agreed a set time with the consumer the job should not take longer than this.

When the work carried out doesn't meet any of these three rules:

    * If the fault is due to poor quality work or fitting and can easily be put right, an offer of repair would be reasonable.
    * If you cannot repair the fault properly, the consumer is entitled to compensation. This could be the cost of getting somebody else to do the repair.
    * If the work takes longer than agreed, or more than a reasonable time, the consumer is entitled to compensation. This could be the cost of getting somebody else to complete the job, or a sum of money for the inconvenience caused.

The law also says that if GOODS are supplied as part of a service - for example, new tiles fitted to a roof, an exhaust fitted to a car; or on hire - for example, a car for a weekend break, or power tools for DIY:

    They must be:

    * Of Satisfactory Quality.
    * Fit for their purpose.
    * As Described.

When the goods or parts don't meet any of these three rules:

    * If they have only been fitted a couple of weeks or the consumer hasn't had a reasonable opportunity to check them, the consumer is probably entitled to a refund of their cost and fitting for a major fault, a number of minor faults or a serious misdescription.
    * If the fault is only minor and can easily be put right, it is reasonable to offer a repair. The consumer could still claim a refund if the repair turns out to be unsatisfactory.
    * If the goods or parts have been fitted for longer than a couple of weeks or the consumer has had a reasonable opportunity to examine them, the consumer is probably only entitled to have the fault put right.
    * If the repair is not carried out within reasonable time, the consumer is probably entitled to compensation. This could be the cost of them getting somebody else to complete the job.
    * If the goods or parts are beyond repair the consumer is entitled to a refund of their cost and fitting. You may make a reduction from the price to allow for wear and tear.
    * If the consumer is out of pocket in any other way they may be entitled to compensation over and above the price of the goods or parts, and their fitting.

    Remember

You are legally responsible to consumers if you supply a service which turns out to be faulty. It may be better to negotiate a reasonable compromise than face court action. You can always do more than you have to in law, but you can't do less.

I wonder if these apply to Zepto.

The best advice is to contact one of the Zepto representatives here like everyone else has said. I was having problems with Zepto till I met MKJ here on the forum, he is extremely nice and helpful and he sorted all my problems for me. :)

    Good luck.

Is it Zepto's fault or Nusystems, where you probably bought it if your from the UK. I want to buy a zepto aswell, and the is a reseller where i live (Holland) that can fix them so i dont have to send it to Norway for repairs. So, is it nusystems fault or zepto's?

Welcome to the forums. Please avoid asking the same question in multiple threads as it adds to clutter in the forums.

It seems NUsystems is the weak link for UK customers. They have provided very poor sales and customer support in their area.
