    Hey.

I'm in class right now, thought I'd give the IFL90 a field test for notes.

Which is starting to fail, as my battery is draining FAST.

in a period of 15-20 minutes, my battery has drained from 75% to 60%.

Now this class is 3 hours long. Bad! bad! Bad!

My brightness is all the way down, and wifi is usually off...

    Why is this happening!! :[

Will this battery last another 2 hours??

I didnt turn it on until an hour into class... Had an exam.

You might need to change the options in power management to battery instead of performance. See if that helps.

Without knowing about your battery (cells, capacity) hard to say much. Looks like you are getting 1 to 1 1/2 hours. If 1 1/2 hours sounds about right. I see people talk about very long battery life but seems to me 2 hours is about normal, You have Dedicated GPU 7200rpm HDD so you are not optimized for battery life.

This is battery life I got from 9cell battery for my laptop.
2 steps down from max brightness and power management set to battery mode. Undervolted cpu to 0.937v at 1.2ghz and underclocked video card to 220mhz core 200mhz memory with Wifi on doing web surfing and listening to music. With all above said setup I get around 3hrs~3:15 battery life on 100% charged battery to 3% computer turn to hibernate mode.

EDIT: If you turned on bluetooth your battery may be drained faster than mine.

Which programs/processes were running? It sounds like something is forcing your CPU to work at full load...killing battery.

Have you re-calculate the time again?
Do you have power management set to battery mode? You can try notebook hardware control or RMclock program to utilize your laptop power settings. Have cpu-z to check if you're running on full speed on battery.

Check your processes in Task Manager, and order them by CPU usage to see if there are any consistently above 40-50%...I had problems with KTP software (touchpad) killing my CPU.
Most processes won't show in applications tab, but they are running in background.

I don't understand how your battery dies so quickly. My IFL-90 lasts 3 1 hour classes with wifi on from a 75% charge. I do use lowest brightness and sound muted but i also finish with around 8-9% battery left.
