Best cooling pad for the Tongfang GK5CN5Z

Hi all,
For optimal cooling of the Tongfang GK5CN5Z where is the best way to position the cooling fans on the laptop stand? Is it better to place two fans, each one below each internal fan and helping increase the air that goes in, a single fan in the middle pushing air in or a single fan in the middle pushing air out?

Sounds like you already have a cooling pad? If so what model?

 

Not yet, I want to buy the best one for my TongFang, hesitating between the Cooler Master MasterNotepal Maker and its two fans that can be positioned anywhere, and the Cooler Master NotePal ErgoStand Lite with only one central fan that can be slightly adjusted to the left or right. The NotePal ErgoStand Lite has the advantage of being less expensive and having fan speed adjustment also.

 

Generally most people that are serious about your question usually settle for the cooler master u2/u3/u3+ and then later use 2x/3x externally powered 120mm fans.

When I had mine I dropped my Temps about 6 degrees overall

 

I know from experience that when boxing some high power electronics device, if we properly design the air flow we can achieve lower temperatures. Sometimes just adding fans blowing air in the wrong direction just makes it worst. The TongFang GK5CN5Z has a big surface on the bottom with metal mesh that improves the air flow, with two small fans one on each side sucking the air in, into the thermal sink, the hot air exits on each side. So I was wondering if anyone has already made some testing on the best air flow to cool the laptop down, if we can find the most efficient way I guess we can lower the noise from the external fans, keeping the internal fans at low speed. I use this laptop for programming, when I have to compile often it gets noisy :-| But I don't put it in heavy load for long periods of time.
So in brief, what I'm looking for is:
- cool it down in the most quiet way
- fan speed regulation so I can lower down the fan noise
- possible to put the laptop at 45º so that the screen is at eye level and leaving space on the table front for an external keyboard

I grabbed this and it's awesome. I've owned the notepal cooling pads in the past and this blows then away.

 

Worth nothing I have the more powerful, and hotter, version of this line of laptops and it definitely assists keeping temps under control.

 

Finally moved on from the 6300hq laptop eh?
