I was just wondering about the functionality of the biometric fingerprint reader and its included software on the Hel 80. How well does the software integrate into Windows? Is the overall design of the finger print reader good, or bad? I was just gonna ask that in Justin@XoticPC's review but I thought I would open this question up to alot of current owners as well. Thanks alot for any and all feedback upon this topic.

I've only used it as a shiney way to log into windows so far. for that it works great. only thing is that you have to pay attention to what part of your finger specifically you wipe on the scanner. otherwise it can be a little frustrating with logon failures, though you can resort to your password.
i did notice an addition to the context menu in explorer. that bit is pretty straightforwards - it asks you to scan your finger when you want to encrypt a file or folder, and again to unencrypt. -
I haven't a need to encrypt files yet, so I just use it to log on to windows as well. I love not having to type in a password. I also let my kids use limited accounts on my laptop, and they can log on without having to pick a user or type in a password.
Like l33t_c0w said you have to be careful what part of your finger(s) you use, but I haven't had any real problems with it. -

The fingerprint reader works very well - you can encrypt stuff with it, and it detects if you are typing in a password online. Haven't had any issues so far. Definitely a worthwhile feature.
