Hi there. i was wondering how bioshock is working on your 6224. I'm afraid mine is'nt as good as it supposed to be. It's really laggy and i can't figure out why.
On 1280x800 and high graphics i get around 15 fps, on 1024x768 low low low graphic it's a little better. haven't checked in fraps yet, but i would guess around 20-25 fps.
I got the newest driver from laptopvideo2go.com, but the oldest bios (i think, haven't updated it. don't know how).
Some tips and tricks?

what does the "newest" driver mean? post the version of the driver. Also try to change High preformance in the energypotions... Also try turning off AA in the video options ingame.
as for drivers 163.44 is pretty good, also 163.16
Check the grapic forum for more details on the drivers.(here at nbr) -
The latest driver is actually the 156.55(dated 23rd August 2007, NVIDIA seems to have more than one driver team, if in doubt, check the inf for the real version number), higher version number doesn't realy mean that it is the latest build, the 156.55 itself without the modded inf has support for 92 Mobile GPUs with WHQL, no need to get the modded inf for it, it is included already, lol, in WHQL, surpisingly.

There is instructions on how to BIOS update in:
ftp://ftp.zepto.dk/Znote6224W/BIOS/Update_BIOS_6xx4-6xx5_EN.pdf
BIOS changes van always be found in the Change log:
ftp://ftp.zepto.dk/Znote6224W/BIOS/Changelog.txt
Both are always found in the same directory as the BIOS itself. -
163.44 have been designed for bioshock so you will probably get best performance with those.

Bioshock on my 6224 is pretty much unplayable on all but the lowest settings.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is due to the terrible mouse acceleration bug that is yet to have a real fix rather than the power of my 6224.
You would be better off looking at the 2k Bioshock forums for help rather than here... -

Well Moonangel's testing of bioshock is hardly detailed - it isn't based upon anything apart from assumptions.
The graphics performance varies wildly depending on what is happening on the screen - I get about 25 FPS when NOTHING is going on, and as low as 5 when there are enemies etc.
Add to this the mouse acceleration issue and the sound stuttering, it leaves the game unplayable.
Wait for the patch... -

We'll have to remember 6224's chassis being smaller, so Zepto might have put lower clocks in 6224's GPU.
I guess i'll have to buy the game when my own 6625 gets here. ^^
edit:
AppendixMan, by the way, how do you feel that the game is running on 1280 x 800 resolution? Is the picture blurry or something like it? -

Hmm, well you have an extra bit of CPU power, plus an extra 2GB RAM.
Plus, the mouse acceleration issue doesn't seem to affect everybody. You can test it by moving the mouse slowly from one point to another on your desk/mousepad. Note the starting and finishing positions in-game. Now move the mouse quickly back to the same point on your desk/mousepad, and you should notice that the point you are aiming at in-game is way rotated past your original in-game starting point.
I don't know, just hoping for a patch.
Bioshock on a 6224, not as good as expected? help me
