I've read about many widespread problems with the Averatec brand. This concerns me, but I have noticed that it seems to be isolated to certain models, rather than ALL models (at least I think so). So, I want to know if there are any 2370 owners out there that can share their experiences.
The review on this website seems to say that this specific model has the best build quality of all averatec laptops.
This is a huge factor for me since I will be using this for college and need something small, light, and extremely durable.
Also, this model is extremely hard to find. It looks like, if I decide on it, I'll have to go with a refurbished model. Is that recommended for this model?

Quality is quite good for an Averatec. Battery life is a little lacking for prolonged usage throughout the day though. There is an extended battery available now. You should expect to see more N2370s in the near future due to the Vista refresh. The only reason you can't find any now was that Averatec totally underestimated the demand. Obviously, they had to work it out with Twinhead to crank out more units, which takes some time.

Averatec will soon be releasing the 2371, a refresh to the 2370 late this month. Averatec does not make any laptops, but rebrands theirs from other manufacturers, like Twinhead.
Yes, some models are better built than others.
Build Quality/Reliability of 2370?
