Looks like everything is top-notch, and is from powernotebooks.com. Glad to see you're getting Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste, I bought 3.5g tube and it cost $8, but it'll keep your laptop cool under load. Hope you enjoy it.

Yeah. I figured if I am building it myself, I should put in all of the top hardware that is compatible. I want this thing to last me years...

looks good, but turbo memory is completely worthless. you might also want to consider an external tv tuner, depending on the internal compal tuner (i'm not familiar with them).

Ehh. The TV tuner is not HD, but it is internal, so that is quite nice...

Here is the disassembly guide for the (I)FL-90. Even though its a dissembly guide , it does show the steps involved to assemble it(reverse the instructions) and it shows you were each part is located(so you dont take apart the whole notebook just to install the wifi ;))

    http://www.asimobile.com/notebook_files/fl90/IFL90_ch5-Disassembly%20Guide-intel.pdf

I hope the IFL-90 serves you well.

    Have a great New Years.

doesn't it already come with a dvd drive?
And since you want the top components, why not go for a hitachi 7k200 hard drive? 7200rpm and 200gb of space.

One reason would be Seagate's 5 year warranty as opposed to Hitachi's 3 year warranty.

Of course Seagate has the 200GB Momentus 7200.2, 7200 RPM SATA 3GB/s drive as well.

PS: if being shipped with old bios, dual channel ram won't make it boot, at least for me. Flashing the bios to newest version however was the solution.

Zipzoomfly.com recommended the setup, so it was kinda odd when it was not booting.

I only got 160 GB since I will probably get an external in the future when it fills up. 160 should be plenty for everything I need at once.

Also, once I get inside the laptop, what is the best way to install the drivers in a way that runs best with 64 bit Vista...

You don't install the drivers from inside the laptop.

Drivers are installed from the Drivers CD, or you can download the latest drivers from http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/TechSupportDriversDownloadPage.htm#FL90 (let the page fully load and it will take you right to the IFL90 drivers, then look for the Vista 64bit drivers). Drivers are software and are installed through your Vista operating system.

You can locate the latest drivers directly from the component manufacturer.
Such as Intel chipset/wireless driver, Realtek driver, Broadcom driver.

With laptops it is not a good idea to get drivers from the component manufacturer because the ODM will very often have to modify them. Please get your drivers from the manufacturer so that you know they have been certified by that manufacturer.

I was wondering which would also be the best Video Driver to use as of now? Should I just go straight for that one when installing drivers?

Use the NBF mobileforce drivers (169.04).
