I recently bought a 6324W with which I have been extremely pleased with. However, today I discovered an annoying feature of the 6324W. Whenever I lower the screen brightness from maximum brightness, the screen (or some component) starts to emit a buzz. The buzzing sound changes intensity depending on what level the screen brightness is set to. However, at maximum brightness no buzz is heard whatsoever.

The buzzing sound appears regardless of the notebook is running on AC or on batteries.

Has anyone experienced similar buzzing sounds with their Zeptos or is it just my usual luck?

I would suspect the inverter (which produces the voltage for the backlight). Maybe it is slightly loose.

If that would be the case, is it something that can be fixed with regular tools (i.e. screwdriver etc) or does it require soldering?

BTW do you know if there are publicly available service manuals for the Zeptos?

I have the exact same problem on my 6225WD! Is the invertor something that has to be replaced or is it something you have to attach more thoroughly?
