Hi I have a CL56 which has a bad screen and I'm looking for a new dual core notebook. Does Compal have an updated CL56 type notebook?I've got my eye on an Acer extensa but I really liked my compal.

The PowerPro P 11:15 (Compal JFL92) is the latest version of that line of Compal laptops.

You will find it has the latest chipset and processor technology, faster memory and hard drives, and MOST important is a MUCH better screen.

I'm in the same boat with the same lappy (HDD is dying). Waiting on the new Sager and new Compal coming out in a month or so before purchasing. while I might not get either model I know I'd hate passing on my ideal lappy by 1 month.
