    G'day all

I have a Medion (MIM2300 series) laptop and I was wondering if there is a better processor than the T5800 I can drop in it. It is a Santa Rosa platform, Socket P and a 965 chipset in it.

    Thanks in advance!

+1 REP for all those who can help

In terms of clockspeed, I don't think there's anything better than a T5900 that will go in there (that's 2.2ghz) which would not be worth the money. However, I'm not familiar with that laptop so take my suggestion with a grain of salt.
I think a table of compatibile processors would be this one - (Listed under Merom 2M standard voltage, AND having a 800mhz FSB): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...22Merom-2M.22_.28standard-voltage.2C_65_nm.29
