Just putting this out there, not sure if I got unlucky or if others are having the same issue. I've owned my Vizio CT15-A2 for about five months now, and the speakers have started cutting out. It's definitely a hardware issue, not a software one, as I dual boot Windows and Linux and am getting the same problem in both. The speakers will work for a little bit, then cut out, then sporadically come back in and out. Can't seem to find any particular point of pressure or positioning that helps or hurts. I suspect a loose wire in the speakers somewhere. Headphones still work fine. Unfortunately, I'm out of the country until September, so I'm going to have to wait until then to send it in for servicing (luckily I'll still be covered under the 2 year warranty). I've been a big proponent of the laptop other than that, so this is truly disappointing, especially as the speakers have been pretty important to me, since I'm traveling (so can't have bulky external speakers) and have been using Skype to keep in contact with friends and family (now will be forced to wear headphones while video chatting).

the speakers suck....i think when i play movies with a lot of bass they start to cut out, like get really muddy and everything sound like static.

    i have a ct15-a2 as well...
