I placed a preorder for a CT14-A1 on 6/26 from walmart.com and the expected delivery date has been changed 3 times since then. Customer service appears to be clueless about the real release date for this product. And now the laptop is unavailable even for preorder on walmart.com, amazon.com and microsoftstore.com. Even more concerning, I came across a post on another forum from a user who said his expected delivery date from walmart.com was changed to sometime in 2/2013.
I think Vizio at least made a mistake in the timing of their announcement of this product. Who knows if there are hardware problems or not? A review from one or two random users here or on YouTube doesn't tell us too much. My guess is Vizio were just unable to supply the goods in volume when they thought they could. And if they can't deliver before the back to school rush they are really going to lose out, since I'm sure a lot of computers are sold around that time.
At any rate, there are several other good Ivy Bridge ultrabooks available now so I decided to cancel my order for the CT14-A1 rather than wait 6+ months for a new laptop. Anyone else doing the same![]()

Well try to order from microsoft I heard some guys saying there getting there order soon and a free xbox. There is no way they could push it back to 2013 that would mean they are just giving up.

I cancelled my order as well. I had ordered the cn15-a2 through amazon but since I needed a laptop asap, I couldn't wait any longer. Vizio had my money but the lack of any kind of release date made me go ahead and order the lenovo w530. Maybe down the road I'll purchase another generation of vizio laptops but they really flubbed this one.

I would wait another month or two before cancelling anything unless you really need it for school asap. They should be here next month I assume. There is also a post in another thread stating they should be in stores most likely the first week of August. School does not start for me for another month, so I am determined to wait.

I know how you guys feel if i didn't get mine by the end of june i would bought the series 9 probably. Trounce when did your amazon order say it was shipping to you.
-
Amazon estimated the ship date to be July 18-25. But I highly doubt the accuracy of that, because the item page now shows the laptop as unavailable. Amazon estimated it to ship out then when they listed the item as shipping in two to four weeks

MS Store gave me the run around so I canceled and bought a Sony Series S. Basically twice the computer with upgrade potential and student discount. IPS screen as well.

I placed my order at walmart.com on 6-16, payed thru paypal and was charged 1300.00 right then. after constantly changing release dates and from no one on the phone being able to tell me when they were coming in, I cancelled my order on thursday 7-12. Placed an order on microsoft.com on thursday, and received my 15.6 inch thin n light on friday (next day shipping). laptop is very nice. screen is great. Very pleased.

BTW, I picked up a 13.3 inch MacBook Air on sale from Best Buy yesterday. No regrets here -
Ya i considered the air and if I had to wait much longer prolly would have gone that way.

I ended up cancelling my order that I placed with Amazon for the CN15-A2. It got delayed for the third time today and a Samsung Series 7 with comparable specs went on sale for $700 today. I still plan to checkout the CN15-A2 at a store and then decide which one I like better. If the Vizio is as good as I hope it is then I'll sell the Samsung and pick up the CN15.
