    Capitability with HGL30?

    I can't say this for sure as I cannot back it up by experience with the HGL30 which i simply do not have, but as from experience with other laptops, I'd have to say pretty much any kind of pata/ide drive would/should work in those barebones.

    Unless I'm missing something, that's a pretty standard IDE interface we have (at least I have, on EL80) in those laptops. Since HGL30 is pretty much el80's smaller brother, it would most likely work with any, yours included, ide optical or any drive.
