Lenovo is available world wide. Asus, Acer are Taiwanese but most of their manufacturing are done in china. Hasee (this one is rare outside of china) manufactures low cost laptops, but is know for substandard build quality. They are dirty cheap and slow, fastest model is a 15' with t8100 and 8600m gs ddr2 ver. Salo is another brand available in china but unseen in other places, again specialising in low cost laptops, not sure they are from main land or taiwan though.
