hello people. I just got my IFL90 last week an immediately installed windows xp. i was dissapointed to find out that I didn't have the necessary drivers for xp, and since I am on dial-up I installed Vista.

Everything ran smooth, but then I started playing Oblivion an TR: Anniversary. In the meantime I got forceware drivers from a friend and installed on xp both drivers and games. now I have dual-boot.

Games on vista are terribly slower than on XP... so I made up my mind for XP.
But I'm having problems to find drivers for the infrared port and my remote... It doesn't seem that there are any...

    please help...

    edit: pretty please....

if it helps there is a giant vista patch coming on tuesday. concerning performance and compatibility issues. The patch is also floating around the internet right now so look for it (its not that hard to find)

hmm, concerning performance XP- TR: Anniversary is almost always around 60 FPS @ native resolution (1650) all settings on (except AA)

for comparison - on Vista that becomes 30-40 FPS. I do not think this is a memory issue (which, by the way, is the case with oblivion along with graphics lag).

thanks, will try the updates. Frack, how did i miss that? It was a long week with my IFL90
But honestly, I am a little bit sceptic about that FPS increasing by 100% :D

and- on bizcom are only drivers for vista... too bad,I was hoping turning my XP into media center (of course with all the Windowblind godness - vista skins, hehe)

    it didn't help... the update.
I guess i'll use both xp and vista. anyway, it isn't that bad to have two OSs

And it only took a year for them to finally do something about this issue. WOW, Microsoft is really on top of things.

The only way Vista will work faster, if MS removes all the stupid virtualization, and let games use hardware directly, that is make it XP once again.

I haven't seen any drivers for CIR in WinXP, does anybody have it? Though device Manager also doesn't see it. And vista does. :/
